The HVACEdge® is a set of processes and procedures that have been used at HVAC contractors since 1985. We have broken down our explaination into five sections.
In the
Structure section, our system starts by defining what your company does. Understanding what your core business is, knowing what needs to happen each and every day in order to insure success. Letting all the members of your organization know what is expected of them is one of the keys to success.
Section Two,
Controlling Costs, helps you identify, document and track the costs your company has. We explain the two important costs, Overhead and Direct Costs, and how you manage them. Proper inventory levels can make or break the bottom line. Having too much inventory ties up the all important cash. Having incorrect or not enough inventory keeps your technicians in the supply houses. We have great systems for keeping inventory in control and keeping the costs up to date.
In Section Three,
Pricing Right, we use the costs that we calculated in section two, to determine what you should price your products and services. Here we introduce two important concepts of the HVACEdge®. Net Profit Pricing is our method of pricing your jobs to the Net Profit percentage. Most of your competition is pricing to gross profit percentage. Capacity Planning is our method of tracking your sales. Think of Capacity Planning as a quota system for selling. Tracking your Capacity quota insures that you have priced right and you will have a profit.
Section Four,
Customer Rentention, focuses on retaining customers you already have. The HVACEdge has many processes and tools to help you to make the easiest sales possible, the ones to the customers that have already purchased from you. We have marketing reports that uses data collected at many points in our process. From direct marketing of a specific equipment type and age, to a process that follows up on repairs quoted during maintenance visits. We also introduce the Club concept. By givng your customers "membership", you ensure they will call you first for all of their HVAC requirements. You have the potential to pre-sell maintenance plans that get you in front of your customers during the year.
In the final section
Cash Flow we cover our processes to keep the doors open. You can sell the work, do the work and bill the work. But it dosen't mean a thing if you don't collect it. Cash is king. Collecting C.O.D. should be your ultimate goal. We have the processes for invoicing fast. Using tablets in the field, your technicians can create service tickets, collect customer data, quote repairs and signing up customers into your club. If you can't collect for services rendered at the time they are completed, you need to have a great collection procedure. HVACEdge has a set process for collections that gets you paid on a timely basis. Like all our processes, these are a series of web-based software tracked procedures followed step by step by your personel to keep the cash flow coming in.
